Commitment Made

I did it. My signed acceptance has been sent off and I'll be moving to the Naples area of Italy before the end of May...assuming the current budget issues get worked out and all my paperwork is processed.

I can't quite place my finger on the feeling when I heard the click of the mouse indicating that the HR specialist hit "send" on the email. I didn't know to laugh in pure excitement that my goal of "FLEE MONTEREY" will soon be complete or to cry because of all the amazing people I'm leaving.  Then of course there was the shock factor of  "oh wow, 3 years?  I'll be 31 when I get back."

Just when I thought my anxiety and nerves were under control from the Kenya trip I'm launched into another season of challenges, growth, and adventure. Time to fasten my seat belt and get ready for this next phase of my life so one day I can tell my kids the stories about "when I lived in Italy!"
